I am from Magnolia, Texas and I moved to the San Marcos area to pursue my degree. I graduated from Texas State University with Cum Laude honors in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in English and I completed my Early Childhood/Generalist certification the following year through Texas Teachers.
I have always wanted to teach children. My love for teaching started blossoming a decade ago. I was a senior in high school and was accepted into an off-campus program called T.E.A.C.H. which I completed in Cypress, Texas in a Kindergarten classroom. From there I went on to be an assistant teacher in a Pre-K classroom and worked in after-school programs while completing my degree. Last year I gained experience and SAMA training working with SPED students in the behavior unit at another district.
This is my first year teaching at Luling ISD and I could not be more excited! As a teacher, I plan to use innovative and proven techniques for each child to succeed in my classroom. My personal hobbies are gardening, reading, visiting the river, and loving on my two dogs and cat. I love all animals and growing vegetables and herbs. It makes my heart full to watch things grow and succeed that contribute to making this world a better place.
